Parthenocissus quinquefolia (Virginia Creeper or American Ivy)

I've never actually grown Virginia Creeper myself, never had the nerve to be honest. My daughter is braver than me and has one that, in her North London home, is just beginning to take over the outbuildings and is moving into the main house. Planting one in your garden is akin to inviting the Taliban to your garden party. Still, at this time of the year they look resplendent in their red drapery. The photographs were taken on the 22nd September 2015 at Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire. Last Friday the leaves looked just as fabulous.
